butter unsalted, softened
1 1/4 c
brown sugar, firmly packed
egg yolk
2 tsp
vanilla extract
2 1/2 c
1 tsp
baking soda
1 tsp
baking powder
1 tsp
3/4 c
semi-sweet chocolate chips
3/4 c
bittersweet chocolate chips

How to Make Chewy Brown Sugar Chocolate Chip Cookies


  • 1preheat oven to 350.
  • 2in a large mixing bowls, cream together butter and brown sugar.
  • 3mix in vanilla and egg and egg yolk until combined.
  • 4add flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt and mix on low speed until just incorporated. stir in chocolate chips.
  • 5drop by tablespoonful onto a large cookie sheet preferably lined with a silicone baking mat.
  • 6bake 9-11 minutes or until edges and tops of cookies are just golden.
  • 7let rest on cookie sheet 2-3 minutes before removing to a wire rack to completely cool.
