i sometimes bake these cookies and take to the school for the children they do love these i really enjoy doing things for other people

Ingredients

1 cup butter unsalted, softened
1 1/4 cups brown sugar, firmly packed
1 - egg
1 - egg yolk
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
2 1/2 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
3/4 cup bittersweet chocolate chips

How To Make chewy brown sugar chocolate chip cookies

Step 1

preheat oven to 350.

Step 2

in a large mixing bowls, cream together butter and brown sugar.
Step 3

mix in vanilla and egg and egg yolk until combined.
Step 4

add flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt and mix on low speed until just incorporated. stir in chocolate chips.
Step 5

drop by tablespoonful onto a large cookie sheet preferably lined with a silicone baking mat.
Step 6

bake 9-11 minutes or until edges and tops of cookies are just golden.
Step 7

let rest on cookie sheet 2-3 minutes before removing to a wire rack to completely cool.
