Ingredients

3/4 cup butter, softened
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
2 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup chopped nuts
1 cup chopped dates or raisins
3 cups cornflakes
15-30 maraschino cherries, halved or quartered, blotted dry

How To Make cherry winks cookies

Step 1

Cream butter and sugar together. Beat in eggs. Stir dry ingredients together and add along with nuts and dates. Mix well. Shape into small balls..

Step 2

Crush cornflakes into crumbs. Roll balls into crumbs. Place on greased baking sheet. Top with cherry.
Step 3

Bake at 350 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes.
