2 1/4 call purpose flour
3/4 cbutter, room temperature
1 cwalnuts, chopped
3 jar(s)maraschino cherries (10 oz. 2 red & 1 green)
2 1/2 ccornflakes, crushed
How to Make Cherry Winkies
- Preheat oven to 375^
In a food processor chop cornflakes set in a shallow dish,such as a pie plate. Then chop nuts, set aside in a bowl. Then chop 1/3 c. cherries.
- In a small mixing bowl add sugar and butter, cream together beat in eggs and milk, mix till smooth.
In a large mixing bowl add flour,and salt.
Add egg mixture to flour, stir until blended.
Add cherries and nuts and vanilla stir until just mixed.
- Roll dough into a ball and roll in crushed cornflakes covering the whole ball. Place on a cookie sheet sprayed with non stick cooking spray.
Take some green and red cherries, slice in half and place in the middle of each cookie mashing the ball down a bit when placing the cherry.
- Bake for 10 minutes or until lightly golden.
