Cherry Drop Cookie with Dark Chocolate Drizzle

The cold weather is keeping me inside and making me become very creative.
I made this one with yummy maraschino cherries and a dark chocolate ganache swirl on top.
Wow, this one is really a keeper!
They taste absolutely wonderful!

  • 1 c
    white sugar
  • 1 c
    brown sugar
  • 2 large
  • 1/3 c
    chopped maraschino cherries: add the juice to make 1/2 cup total put together
  • 4 c
    all purpose flour
  • 2 tsp
    baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp

How to Make Cherry Drop Cookie with Dark Chocolate Drizzle


  1. In a large mixing bowl cream your butter, and both sugars.
  2. Add your eggs, cherries with juice.

    ***You can add more chopped cherries but i wouldn't add more juice. Measure out the amount of cherries, add the juice (as instructed)and put in your batter. Chop up more cherries and add them.
  3. Gradually add your flour, salt, soda and baking powder.
  4. Drop spoonfuls on cookie sheet and bake @350 for 12 minutes. Check on them after 10 mins, you don't want to over bake.
  5. Make your chocolate ganache: equal parts of heavy whipping cream and dark chocolate chips.
    Heat your heavy cream on low until really hot, not a boil. Add your chips and whisk it smooth.

    Using a small spoon drizzle over your cooled cookies.

    Dust with powdered sugar is you like :)
