Cherry Drop Cookie with Dark Chocolate Drizzle

The cold weather is keeping me inside and making me become very creative.
I made this one with yummy maraschino cherries and a dark chocolate ganache swirl on top.
Wow, this one is really a keeper!
They taste absolutely wonderful!

chopped maraschino cherries: add the juice to make 1/2 cup total put together

baking powder
1/2 tsp
baking soda

How to Make Cherry Drop Cookie with Dark Chocolate Drizzle


  • 1In a large mixing bowl cream your butter, and both sugars.
  • 2Add your eggs, cherries with juice.

    ***You can add more chopped cherries but i wouldn't add more juice. Measure out the amount of cherries, add the juice (as instructed)and put in your batter. Chop up more cherries and add them.
  • 3Gradually add your flour, salt, soda and baking powder.
  • 4Drop spoonfuls on cookie sheet and bake @350 for 12 minutes. Check on them after 10 mins, you don't want to over bake.
  • 5Make your chocolate ganache: equal parts of heavy whipping cream and dark chocolate chips.
    Heat your heavy cream on low until really hot, not a boil. Add your chips and whisk it smooth.

    Using a small spoon drizzle over your cooled cookies.

    Dust with powdered sugar is you like :)
