This is another recipe from of the ladies at church who is an awesome cook! These are a very versatile cookie and so easy to make. Use the cherries at Cmas or Valentine's Day for a special treat. Use the dates or chocolates for any occasion.

How to Make Cherry Bon Bons - Steph

Step-by-Step

  1. Mix together the butter, powdered sugar and vanilla until smooth. Mix the flour and salt together and gradually add to the creamed mixture. If dough is dry, add 1 or 2 T. of cream.
  2. Wrap a level tablespoon of dough around either a date, maraschino cherry, or chocolate kiss. Place 1 inch apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake until set but not brown at 350 degrees; 12 - 15 minutes.
  3. Make an icing of powdered sugar, milk and vanilla. Dip tops of warm bon bons into icing and let cool. DELISH!!
