Ingredients

DOUGH
1/2 cup unsalted butter
3/4 cup powdered sugar
2 tablespoons milk
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 1/2 cups all purpose flour ( i use unbleached)
1/8 teaspoon salt
GLAZE
1 cup powdered sugar
1 tablespoon unsalted butter
2 tablespoons cherry juice
- maraschino cherries
OTHER
1/4 cup chocolate chips

How To Make cherry bon bon cookies

Step 1

Cream butter & sugar

Step 2

Add milk & vanilla, stir.
Step 3

Add the combined flour & salt to form soft dough.
Step 4

Divide into 24 equal portions.
Step 5

Shape dough around cherries to form a ball(optional:place 2 chocolate chips into each cherry)
Step 6

Bake on greased cookie sheet at 350' for about 15 minutes.
Step 7

Combine glaze ingredients & drizzle over cooled cookies.
