- 4 cups whole cheetos puffs, crushed
- 1 1/4 cups flour
- 1 tablespoon cream of tartar
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup butter, room temperature
- 1/4 cup shortening
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 egg
- 1/8 teaspoon orange food coloring,optional
How To Make cheetos cookies

Step 1Place cheetos in a food processor or ziploc bag and crush the cheetos. In medium bowl, whick together the flour, half of the crushed cheetos, cream of tartar, salt, and baking soda. Mix well.

Step 2In large bowl, beat together the butter, shortening and sugar until light and fluffy, about 2 minutes. Add egg and food coloringif using and mix until creamy.

Step 3Add the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Place remaining cheeto crumbs into a shallow bowl.

Step 4Use a cookie scoop, make tablespoon sized dough balls, then roll them in the remaing crushed cheetos in bowl and place on a tray or plate. Cover and put in the fridge for at least 1 hour.

Step 5Preheat oven to 350 degrees and line baking sheet with parchment paper. Place cookie dough balls on pan and bake 8-10 minutes. Allow to cool 5 minutes, before transfering them to a wire rack to cool completely. Store in a airtight container.
