  • CHAI:

  • 1/4 c
  • 1
    dash cardamom
  • 3
    whole allspice
  • 1
    dash cinnamon
  • 3
    whole cloves

  • 1/4 c
    chocolate chips
  • 1/4 c
    butter, softened
  • 2
    eggs, lightly beaten
  • 1 1/2 c
  • 1 c
  • 1/2 c
  • 1/3 c
    brown sugar, packed
  • 1 tsp
    baking powder

How to Make Chai Brownies


  1. For Chai: Add all ingredients to a pot and bring to a quick boil. Remove from heat and let sit for 10 minutes. Strain into a large microwave safe bowl.
  2. For Batter: Preheat oven to 350 degrees. To bowl of chai, add butter and chocolate. Microwave about 30 seconds until melted. Stir until smooth. Let cool for a minute so that eggs will not cook when added. Add eggs. Sift in remaining dry ingredients and mix until it forms a stiff batter. Bake in a 9 inch square pan sprayed with oil, about 25 minutes until set. Let cool, and cut into 20 pieces.
