Ingredients
- 1 package cinnamon quick bread mix
- 2 sticks butter
- 2 - granny smith apples, chopped,small
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 1/2 cups mrs. butterworths syrup
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3 - eggs, beaten
- 1/2 teaspoon almond flavoring
- 4 cups apple cinnamon cheerios coarsly crunched
How To Make carmel apple crunch bars

Step 1Preheat oven to 350*. Place cheerios in a gallon zip lock bag and coarsly crunch, set aside.

Step 2Peel and dice apples into small pieces, cover and set aside. Put dry bread mix into a bowl, you won't use the streusel or icing so you can use them later for some other goodie... add 1 stick of softened butter and cut in with a fork until crumbly.

Step 3Place crumbs in a 9x13 inch pan and press down with the back of a spoon. Bake for 10 min. to set the crust. remove to cool.

Step 4In a medium size sauce pan, add sugar, syrup, butter,salt, vanilla, almond flavoring, and well beaten eggs, stir continuously as you heat on medium heat, just until mix starts to bubble... remove from heat.. Quickly place apples onto crust, and pour mixture over them. Put chopped cheerios on top and bake for 30 min.. let cool, befor cutting and store in refrigerator. Enjoy!
