Ingredients For caramel pecans bars

  • 1 c
    butter, cubed
  • 21/2 c
    packed brown sugar
  • 2 md
    eggs
  • 2 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • 11/2 c
    all purpose flour
  • 2 tsp
    baking powder
  • 2 c
    chopped pecans
  • 3 Tbsp
    confectioner's sugar

How To Make caramel pecans bars

    In a large saucepan, combine butter and brown sugar over medium heat until sugar is dissolved. In a small bowl, beat eggs and vanilla. Gradually add hot sugar mixture, stirring constantly, Combine flour, baking powder; gradually add to the batter mixture and mix well. Stir in pecans.

    Spread into a greased 13 in. x 9 in. baking pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes, or until toothpick inserted near the center, comes out with a moist crumbs and edges are crisp. Dust with confectioners sugar if desired. Cut into bars. Yield: 4 dozen.
