    brown sugar, lightly packed
  • 3 c
    all purpose flour
  • 1 large

  • 3 c
    pecans, halved
  • 3/4 c
  • 1/2 c
  • 3/4 c
    brown sugar, lightly packed
  • 1/4 c
    whipping cream

How to Make Caramel Pecan Bars


  1. CRUST: Combine all ingredients in food processor or with electric mixer until blended.
  2. Press evenly in 15X10X3/4 jelly roll pan.
  3. Bake at 350 for 15 minutes.
  4. FILLING: Spread pecans evenly over crust.
  5. In large, heavy saucepan, melt butter and honey. Add brown sugar.
  6. Boil 5-7 minutes, stirring constantly, until a rich brown caramel color.
  7. Remove from heat.
  8. Stir in cream.
  9. Mix well and pour over pecans.
  10. Bake 15 minutes longer.
  11. Cool, then cut into bars.
  12. HELPFUL HINT: Take time to place pecan right side up.
  13. Freezes well. MAKES: about 50 BARS
