whipping cream

How to Make Caramel Pecan Bars


  • 1CRUST: Combine all ingredients in food processor or with electric mixer until blended.
  • 2Press evenly in 15X10X3/4 jelly roll pan.
  • 3Bake at 350 for 15 minutes.
  • 4FILLING: Spread pecans evenly over crust.
  • 5In large, heavy saucepan, melt butter and honey. Add brown sugar.
  • 6Boil 5-7 minutes, stirring constantly, until a rich brown caramel color.
  • 7Remove from heat.
  • 8Stir in cream.
  • 9Mix well and pour over pecans.
  • 10Bake 15 minutes longer.
  • 11Cool, then cut into bars.
  • 12HELPFUL HINT: Take time to place pecan right side up.
  • 13Freezes well. MAKES: about 50 BARS
