Ingredients
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup white chocolate chips, melted and cooled
- 3/4 cup butter, softened
- 1/4 cup orange juice
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 egg
- 3-1/2 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon grated orange peel
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 16 candy orange slices, each cut into thirds

Step 1In a large bowl, beat sugar, melted chips, and butter with electric mixer on medium speed until creamy.

Step 2Beat in orange juice, vanilla and egg. Stir in dry ingredients. Cover and refrigerate 1 hour.

Step 3Shape dough into 1 inch balls. Bake at 350 degrees on ungreased cookie sheet for 9 to 12 minutes.

Step 4Immediately press orange slice piece into center of each cookie. Cool 2 minutes, then remove from sheet to cool on wire rack.
