Ingredients
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, very soft
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg yolk
- 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup Hershey's special dark cocoa powder
- 16 - 17 - candy corns (be sure to have the candy corn pieces picked out and ready to use before baking the cookies)
How To Make candy corn-chocolate-cookies

Step 1Preheat oven to 350°F.

Step 2Line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper.

Step 3In a bowl, add the softened unsalted butter and sugar. Using a spoon, combine the 2 ingredients by stirring together thoroughly with a spoon.

Step 4Add the egg yolk, vanilla extract, baking powder and salt. Mix ingredients together thoroughly with the spoon.

Step 5Now add the flour and cocoa powder; mixing well with the spoon. After I mixed the ingredients together as best as I could, I ended up using one of my hands to finish mixing it together.

Step 6Using a small cookie scoop, scoop out cookie dough, then roll the cookie dough into a ball with your hands.

Step 7Place the cookie dough ball(s) onto parchment lined baking sheets. About 2-inches apart.

Step 8Place baking sheet in oven, and bake for exactly 10 minutes.

Step 9Remove baking sheet from oven and allow cookies to cool on baking sheet for 1 minute. Transfer cookies to a cooling rack to allow cookies to cool completely.

Step 10Makes 16 to 17 cookies.
