A delicious way to enjoy a chocolate cookie along with candy corn.

Ingredients For candy corn-chocolate-cookies

  • 4 Tbsp
    unsalted butter, very soft
  • 1/2 c

    large egg yolk
  • 1/4 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp
    baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp
  • 1/2 c
    all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 c
    hershey's special dark cocoa powder
  • About
    16 to 17 candy corns (be sure to have the candy corn pieces picked out and ready to use before baking the cookies.)

How To Make candy corn-chocolate-cookies

    Preheat oven to 350°F.

    Line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper.

    In a bowl, add the softened unsalted butter and sugar. Using a spoon, combine the 2 ingredients by stirring together thoroughly with a spoon.

    Add the egg yolk, vanilla extract, baking powder and salt. Mix ingredients together thoroughly with the spoon.

    Now add the flour and cocoa powder; mixing well with the spoon. After I mixed the ingredients together as best as I could, I ended up using one of my hands to finish mixing it together.

    Using a small cookie scoop, scoop out cookie dough, then roll the cookie dough into a ball with your hands.

    Place the cookie dough ball(s) onto parchment lined baking sheets. About 2-inches apart.

    Place baking sheet in oven, and bake for exactly 10 minutes.

    Remove baking sheet from oven and allow cookies to cool on baking sheet for 1 minute. Transfer cookies to a cooling rack to allow cookies to cool completely.
