cajun pecan cocoons
My husband is from South Louisiana and doesn't have any family here. To show my appreciation for all he does for me, I try to learn all his favorite things and this is one of them. His best friends mom made them for our wedding and she passed the recipe on to me.

Ingredients
- 2 cups sifted flour
- 1/5 pound real butter
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- 2 teaspoons water
- 2 teaspoons almond extract
- - confectioners sugar
How To Make cajun pecan cocoons

Step 1Preheat oven to 325F.

Step 2Mix all ingredients in bowl and chill for two hours.

Step 3Shape into small balls, by rolling between palms and bake on an ungreased baking sheet for 20 minutes. They will not brown.

Step 4In another bowl add about a cup of confectioners sugar. When slightly cooled, roll each cookie in sugar until well coated.
