These cookies are very delicious. It has all my favorite flavors, butterscotch and walnuts, along with just a small bit of vanilla extract...LOVE 'EM.

Ingredients
- 1 2/3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon cream of tartar
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon milk or water
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/2 cup finely chopped walnuts
- 1 cup butterscotch morsels
How To Make butterscotch-walnut cookies

Step 1Sift dry ingredients together and set aside.

Step 2Beat butter in a mixer bowl with electric mixer until softened. Add brown sugar and beat until fluffy. Add egg, milk or water and vanilla; beat well. Add the flour mixture; beat until well combined. Stir in nuts and butterscotch morsels.

Step 3Shape into 2 (8 inch) logs. Wrap and chill for several hours or freeze for 1 hour. Cut into 1/4 inch slices. Place 1 inch apart on an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake in a 375 degree oven for 8 minutes. Cool on wire rack. Makes 5 dozen cookies.
