What more can I say... BUTTERSCOTCH!!!! oh so good!!

Ingredients

  • 2 cups brown sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup shortening or lard ( i use butter flavor crisco)
  • 4 cups flour, unbleached
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon cream of tarter
  • 1 cup walnuts, chopped

How To Make butterscotch cookies

  • Step 1
    Mix all ingredients except for the nuts thoroughly by mixer. Stir in the nuts by hand
  • Step 2
    Roll the dough into ropes about 2 inches thick Cut in thin slices. Cross press with a fork to make a design if desired.
  • Step 3
    Bake at 350 degrees for 8 to 12 minutes
