Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 - egg yolk
  • 3/4 cup sour cream
  • TOPPING:
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 cup nuts, chopped

How To Make butter twists

  • Step 1
    Cream butter, add the flour.
  • Step 2
    Combine with egg yolk & sour cream.
  • Step 3
    Chill 3-4 hours or overnight.
  • Step 4
    Divide into 3 parts. Roll each into circle, 1/8 inch thick. Cut each circle into 16 wedges.
  • Step 5
    Combine sugar, cinnamon & nuts.
  • Step 6
    Sprinkle on wedges & roll each up to center.
  • Step 7
    Bake in 375 oven for 25-30 minutes.
  • Step 8
    Makes about 48 twists.
