Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter (softened)
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 - egg yolk
  • 3/4 cup sour cream
  • TOPPING
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 cup nuts, chopped

How To Make butter twists

  • Step 1
    Cream butter & add flour.
  • Step 2
    Combine egg yolk & sour cream.
  • Step 3
    Chill 3-4 hours or overnight.
  • Step 4
    Divide dough into 3 parts.
  • Step 5
    Roll each into circle 1/8 inch thick.
  • Step 6
    Cut each circle into 16 wedges.
  • Step 7
    Combine sugar, cinnamon & nuts.
  • Step 8
    Sprinkle on wedges & roll each wedge toward the center.
  • Step 9
    Bake in preheated 375 oven for 25-30 minutes.
