Ingredients For butter pecan wookie pies

1 boxbutter pecan cake mix

2 lgeggs
-
1/2 cbutter, softened
-
1 cskor or heath bits
-
1/2 cchopped pecans
- FOR FILLING:

8 ozlight cream chesse

4 ozbutter, unsalted
-
1 1/2 cconfectioners' sugar, sifted

1/4 cdulche de leche
-
1 tspvanilla extract
How To Make butter pecan wookie pies

1Preheat oven to 350.

2Combine cake mix, heath bits and pecans in a large bowl or mixer bowl.

3Add eggs and butter and mix until combined. Using a mini scoop, place on to a silpat or parchment lined baking sheet 1.5 inches apart.

4Bake for 10-12 minutes. Let cool on pan a few minutes, then remove to cool completely on a wire rack.

5Make the icing. Beat cream cheese and butter, using a paddle attachment, until whipped.

6Add sugar and vanilla, mixing on low to start, increasing speed as sugar is incorporated.

7Beat until light and fluffy. Add dulche de lech and heat until blended.

8Once the cookies are cool, add cream filling to a piping bag and pipe the icing in a circular motion starting from the inside on to half of the cookies.

9Leave a small gap around the edges as the icing will spread when you press the cookies together.
