butter mint cookies

I made these cookies a few years ago for our Christmas party. Everyone liked them, and they were so easy to make. I am making these for Christmas this year, and I finally found the recipe again, so I thought I would share it on here.

Ingredients
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 1/2 cup confectioners' sugar
- 1 1/2 teaspoons peppermint extract
- 1 3/4 cups all purpose flour
- - green colored crystal sugar
How To Make butter mint cookies

Step 1In a large bowl, cream butter and confectioners' sugar until light and fluffy.

Step 2Beat in extract.

Step 3Gradually add flour and mix well.

Step 4Roll tablespoonfuls of dough into balls.

Step 5Place 1 inches apart on ungreased baking sheets; flatten with a glass dipped in colored sugar.

Step 6Bake at 350° for 12-14 minutes or until firm.

Step 7Remove to wire racks to cool
