brownies (quick and easy)
(1 RATING)
I found a recipe for strawberry brownies I used for Valentines and discovered that recipe could be used for almost any kind of brownie like cookie...my kids raved! I don't buy brownie mixes to keep on hand, but I almost always have a chocolate cake mix or two on hand. This recipe is really good. The brownies come out puffy, and settle as they cool. They have just the right texture of soft chewiness and a light crust on the sides. Magnificent. Will try to upload a picture next time I make them! The family ate them before I could get to it!

8 x13 pan, what size do you want?
Ingredients
- 1 box just a regular ol' cheap chocolate cake mix (without any pudding in the mix)
- 2 - eggs
- 1/3 cup oil (i use canola)
How To Make brownies (quick and easy)
-
Step 1Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray 8x13 baking pan with vegetable spray.
-
Step 2Mix all the ingredients together in a bowl. Recipe says it can be thick and hard to spread, so just press and push it around and into the corners. It will spread as it bakes. Mine always turns out to be fluffy crumbs, but it can be sprinkled evenly and pressed into the pan easily as well.
-
Step 3Bake for 15 minutes. (My oven runs hot, so mine were done in 12 minutes. You can drizzle a chocolate glaze if you would like; 3 Tbs baking cocoa, 4 Tbs powdered sugar, add just enough water or milk for drizzling consistency (careful not too thin!).
