This recipe comes from a friend that I worked with at Monroe Surgical Hospital. They are delicious, but I always laugh when I remember the story Bev told after over hearing her grandkids talk about them. "Mimi makes good brownies, but I don't know why she puts rocks (pecans) in them."

Ingredients
- 2 cups sugar
- 1 cup pecans, chopped
- 2 sticks margarine
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 4 - eggs
- 4 tablespoons hershey's cocoa powder
- 1 cup self rising flour
How To Make brownies

Step 1Melt the margarine with the cocoa in a saucepan.

Step 2Add the sugar, flour, vanilla, and pecans.

Step 3Briskly stir in the eggs.

Step 4Pour into a greased 9x13-inch pan at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
