These cookies are a family favorite. With this recipe I enjoy making spritz cookies, until I found this recipe I dreaded making them. But the dough is easy to work with and no chilling.

Ingredients

  • 1 c
    butter, softened
  • 1/2 c
    brown sugar, light
  • 1 tsp
    baking powder
  • 1
    egg
  • 1 tsp
    almond extract
  • 1/2 tsp
    vanilla
  • 2 2/3 c
    all purpose flour

How to Make Brown Sugar Spritz

Step-by-Step

  1. Preheat oven to 375
  2. Beat butter until light and fluffy, add sugar and baking powder and beat well. Add egg, extracts. Beat until well combined. Then add 2 cups of the flour and combine. Add last 2/3 cup flour by hand.
  3. DO NOT CHILL DOUGH
  4. Load spritz press and press cookies onto parchment paper lined cookie sheets.
  5. Bake for 9 to 10 minutes
