These cookies are a family favorite. With this recipe I enjoy making spritz cookies, until I found this recipe I dreaded making them. But the dough is easy to work with and no chilling.

Ingredients

1 cup butter, softened
1/2 cup brown sugar, light
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 - egg
1 teaspoon almond extract
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
2 2/3 cups all purpose flour

How To Make brown sugar spritz

Step 1

Preheat oven to 375

Step 2

Beat butter until light and fluffy, add sugar and baking powder and beat well. Add egg, extracts. Beat until well combined. Then add 2 cups of the flour and combine. Add last 2/3 cup flour by hand.
Step 3

DO NOT CHILL DOUGH
Step 4

Load spritz press and press cookies onto parchment paper lined cookie sheets.
Step 5

Bake for 9 to 10 minutes
