How to Make Brown Sugar Shortbread
- 1Preheat oven to 300 degrees
- 2Cream butter and sugar in a large bowl. Gradually add in flour and mix well.
- 3Turn out on a lightly-floured surface and knead until smooth.
- 4Place dough on ungreased cookie sheet and pat into a rectangle about 11 x 8 and 1/3-inch thick. Cut into 2-inch by 1-inch pieces. Prick each piece with a fork.
- 5Bake for 25 minutes, or until bottoms are lightly brown. Cool on sheet 5 minutes, then transfer to a rack to cool.
