brittle cookies

This is very similar to a previous recipe I posted but is a tad bit different. This recipe came out of my "Sugar Bitches" cookbook, which is all desserts!! Very tasty!

Ingredients
- 1 cup brown or white sugar (i prefer brown)
- 1 cup butter (no substitutions)
- 40 - saltine crackers
- 8 ounces chocolate chips
- 1 cup pecans, chopped
How To Make brittle cookies

Step 1In a saucepan, bring to a boil the sugar and butter and boil for 3 minutes. Spray a cookie sheet with Pam. Line the pan with the crackers. Put in 350 degree oven and bake for 5 - 7 minutes or until crackers start to float. Spread the chocolate chips and pecans over the mixture, pushing these down into the mixture with a spoon. Slice before it gets too hard. It helps to put in the freezer for 15 minutes before serving. These are excellent!!!
