This is very similar to a previous recipe I posted but is a tad bit different. This recipe came out of my "Sugar Bitches" cookbook, which is all desserts!! Very tasty!

Ingredients

  • 1 c
brown or white sugar (i prefer brown)
  • 1 c
    butter (no substitutions)
  • 40
    saltine crackers
  • 8 oz
    chocolate chips
  • 1 c
    pecans, chopped

How to Make Brittle Cookies

Step-by-Step

  1. In a saucepan, bring to a boil the sugar and butter and boil for 3 minutes. Spray a cookie sheet with Pam. Line the pan with the crackers. Put in 350 degree oven and bake for 5 - 7 minutes or until crackers start to float.

Spread the chocolate chips and pecans over the mixture, pushing these down into the mixture with a spoon. Slice before it gets too hard. It helps to put in the freezer for 15 minutes before serving. These are excellent!!!
