Need something sweet for a quick dessert--decided to try this. For peanut lovers only.

Ingredients

1 box white or yellow cake mix--any brand
1/4 cup each, water and oil
1 cup smooth or chunky peanut butter
1 large egg, slightly beaten

How To Make bonnie's in a hurry cookie bars

Step 1

mix all ingredients until well blended, except save 1/2 cup of the peanut butter for later.

Step 2

I use my big mixer with flat paddle--can be done in bowl with a large spoon.
Step 3

Press mixture into a 9 x 13 baking pan that has been lightly greased or use spray.
Step 4

Bake at 350 degrees until slightly browned--about 20 minutes, depending on your oven.
Step 5

While hot from the oven, spread the remaining 1/2 cup of peanut butter like a thin layer of frosting. Cool, cut and enjoy !!!!
