Ingredients
- 1/2 cup shortening
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup white sugar
- 2 - eggs
- 1 cup canned milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 3/4 cups flour, sifted
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup walnuts
- BURNT BUTTER GLAZE
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 1/4 cup canned milk
How To Make bonnie's cookies

Step 1Mix shortening, sugar and eggs. Stir in milk and vanilla.

Step 2In another bowl, sift together flour, soda, and salt. Mix wet and dry ingredients.

Step 3Blend in nuts and chill 1 hour.

Step 4Heat oven to 375 degrees. Drop rounded Tablespoons 2 inches apart. Bake 10 minutes. While still warm, frost with burnt butter glaze.

Step 5Burnt Butter Glaze: heat 2 Tbsp. butter until brown. Add to 2 cups powdered sugar and 1/4 cup canned milk.
