1Cover cookie sheets with foil the grease and flour foil; set aside.
Mix together in a large bowl the coconut and cocoa, then add all remaining ingredients.
Drop onto prepared cookie sheets by the Tablespoonful and slightly flatten. Bake in 325^ oven for 15-17 minutes or until golden brown Remove from baking sheets immediately; If they spread apart squish together- the coconut will hold together.( I always squish them anyway) Cool on wire rack. Store loosely covered at room temperature.
If desired, decorate mounds with 1/2 red or green cherries before baking.
