Ingredients
- 2 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2/3 cup unsalted butter
- 2 cups packed dark brown sugar
- 2 - eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup toasted pecans
- - for a more cake like brownie, add 1 tsp. baking powder
- - **you can use light brown sugar. although dark brown sugar adds a delightful tenderness to these brownies.
How To Make blonde brownies

Step 1Sift together flour, soda, and salt.

Step 2In a sauce pan, melt butter. Cool slightly and add brown sugar, slightly beaten eggs and vanilla.

Step 3Add flour mixture a small amount at a time, until combined. Add nuts.

Step 4Spread mixture into a 13 x 9 inch pan, prepared with Pam. Sprinkle chocolate chips over top.

Step 5Bake @ 350 for 20-25 minutes. DO NOT OVER BAKE.
