A recipe from my inspiration! My mother.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2/3 cup unsalted butter
  • 2 cups packed dark brown sugar
  • 2 - eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup toasted pecans
  • - for a more cake like brownie, add 1 tsp. baking powder
  • - **you can use light brown sugar. although dark brown sugar adds a delightful tenderness to these brownies.

How To Make blonde brownies

  • Step 1
    Sift together flour, soda, and salt.
  • Step 2
    In a sauce pan, melt butter. Cool slightly and add brown sugar, slightly beaten eggs and vanilla.
  • Step 3
    Add flour mixture a small amount at a time, until combined. Add nuts.
  • Step 4
    Spread mixture into a 13 x 9 inch pan, prepared with Pam. Sprinkle chocolate chips over top.
  • Step 5
    Bake @ 350 for 20-25 minutes. DO NOT OVER BAKE.
