My husband loves these.I got the recipe out of a old cookbook.

Ingredients

  • 1/4 c
    butter or margarine
  • 1 c
    light brown sugar
  • 1
    egg
  • 3/4 c
    sifted flour
  • 1 tsp
    baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla
  • 1/2 c
    chopped nuts (opt.)

How to Make Blonde Brownies

Step-by-Step

  1. Melt butter;remove from heat and stir in brown sugar. Cool.Beat in egg.
  2. Sift dry ingredients;stir into brown sugar mixture.Add vanilla and nuts. Mix well.
  3. Spread in well greased 8x8x2-inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 30-35 minutes .
