Ingredients
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/3 cup cocoa
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 8 tablespoons butter, softened
- 1/2 cup white sugar
- 1/2 cup light brown sugar, firmly packed
- 1 large egg at room temperature
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 6 ounces semi-sweet chocolate, cut into 1/4" chunks
- 6 ounces white chocolate, cut into 1/4" chunks
- 1/3 cup pecans, coarsely chopped
How To Make black & white chunk cookies

Step 1Preheat oven to 325 degrees.

Step 2Line cookie sheet with aluminum foil.

Step 3In small bowl, sift together flour, cocoa, baking soda and salt.

Step 4In large bowl, using electric mixer at low speed, beat butter 30 seconds or until creamy.

Step 5Add both sugars gradually; beat at medium speed 2 minutes until fluffy.

Step 6Beat in egg and vanilla. Using spoon, add to flour mixture.

Step 7Add chocolate chunks and pecans; stir until combined.

Step 8Drop by tablespoonsful onto cookie sheets.

Step 9Leave 1" between cookies.

Step 10Bake 10-15 minutes until cookies are puffed and lightly browned at edges.

Step 11Cool cookies on sheets 5 minutes before serving.
