I remember having blonde brownies for the first time when I was in high school and loved them so much that I came up with this recipe which seems pretty close to the taste I remembered.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup light brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup heath english toffee bits
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla ext.
  • 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup semi-sweet white chocolate chips
  • 1 cup sliced almonds
  • 1/2 cup semi-sweet white chocolate chips for top

How To Make bj's blonde brownies

  • Step 1
    In medium mixing bowl whisk together flour, baking soda, & salt.
  • Step 2
    Using mixer.... cream butter, light brown sugar, granulated sugar, & heath bits. Add eggs, vanilla, & continue mixing until smooth. Add flour, baking soda & salt mixture a little at the time & continue mixing until well blended.
  • Step 3
    Add chocolate chips, white chocolate chips, almonds, and mix well. Spray 9" X 13" pan or coat with butter. Spread mixture in pan & top with remaining white chips. Bake in preheated 350 degree oven for 25-30 min.
