I remember having blonde brownies for the first time when I was in high school and loved them so much that I came up with this recipe which seems pretty close to the taste I remembered.

  • 2 c
    all purpose flour
  • 1 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp
  • 3/4 c
  • 1/2 c
    light brown sugar
  • 1/2 c
    granulated sugar
  • 1/2 c
    heath english toffee bits
  • 2 large
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla ext.
  • 1/2 c
    semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 c
    semi-sweet white chocolate chips
  • 1 c
    sliced almonds
  • 1/2 c
    semi-sweet white chocolate chips for top

How to Make BJ's Blonde Brownies


  1. In medium mixing bowl whisk together flour, baking soda, & salt.
  2. Using mixer.... cream butter, light brown sugar, granulated sugar, & heath bits. Add eggs, vanilla, & continue mixing until smooth. Add flour, baking soda & salt mixture a little at the time & continue mixing until well blended.
  3. Add chocolate chips, white chocolate chips, almonds, and mix well. Spray 9" X 13" pan or coat with butter. Spread mixture in pan & top with remaining white chips. Bake in preheated 350 degree oven for 25-30 min.
