Ingredients

  • 4 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 sticks butter, room temperature
  • 1-2 cup sugar
  • 3 - eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 cups sesame seeds

How To Make biscotti regina (italian sesame seed cookies)

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 350.
  • Step 2
    Combine flour, baking powder & salt in small bowl & set aside.
  • Step 3
    Cream butter & sugar until fluffy.
  • Step 4
    Add eggs one at a time with mixer running until smooth.
  • Step 5
    Add vanilla & beat in.
  • Step 6
    Next add flour mixture & beat until well mixed.
  • Step 7
    To form cookies, divide dough in half and roll into logs. Cut into 3 inch lengths.
  • Step 8
    Dip each piece of dough into cream & roll into sesame seeds.
  • Step 9
    Place cookies on baking sheet & bake til golden brown, 15 to 20 minutes.
  • Step 10
    Let cool & serve.

    They will keep in airtight container for about 2 weeks.
