Ingredients

  • 4 c
    all purpose flour
  • 1 Tbsp
    baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 2 stick
    butter, room temperature
  • 1-2 c
    sugar
  • 3
    eggs
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • 1 c
    heavy cream
  • 2 c
    sesame seeds

How to Make Biscotti Regina (Italian Sesame Seed Cookies)

Step-by-Step

  1. Preheat oven to 350.
  2. Combine flour, baking powder & salt in small bowl & set aside.
  3. Cream butter & sugar until fluffy.
  4. Add eggs one at a time with mixer running until smooth.
  5. Add vanilla & beat in.
  6. Next add flour mixture & beat until well mixed.
  7. To form cookies, divide dough in half and roll into logs. Cut into 3 inch lengths.
  8. Dip each piece of dough into cream & roll into sesame seeds.
  9. Place cookies on baking sheet & bake til golden brown, 15 to 20 minutes.
  10. Let cool & serve.
  11. They will keep in airtight container for about 2 weeks.
