this was my moms recipe she made this up for herself and of course she gave me the recipe

Ingredients

1/2 c
oil
1 c
granulated sugar
1 medium
egg
1/4 c
molasses
1 3/4 c
all purpose flour
2 tsp
ground ginger
1 tsp
ground cinnamon
1 tsp
baking powder
1 tsp
baking soda
1/2 tsp
salt
1/4 c
granulated sugar

How to Make Bettys Gingersnaps

Step-by-Step

  • 1preheat oven to 375.
  • 2in mixing bowl, beat oil with sugar. beat in egg and molasses. the dough can be quite sticky.
  • 3using 1 teaspoon per cookie shape dough into ball. place on lightly oiled baking pan sheet and flatten with the palm of your hand.
  • 4bake for 12-15 minutes. let cool on cookie sheets or racks.
