I use this to drizzle on cookies but you can make it thick to put on cakes and cupcakes as well. In fact I actually thin it out to do the drizzling. Recipe is my own.

Ingredients
- 2 cups confectioners' sugar, sift before measuring
- 1 1/2 tablespoons butter, softened
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract or almond extract
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 3-4 tablespoons milk (or more if thinning to drizzle icing)

Step 1Combine all icing ingredients in small mixing bowl.

Step 2Stir until smooth and well blended.

Step 3Adjust for spreading consistency if necessary, adding more milk or more confectioners' sugar.

Step 4Spread icing or drizzle on warm cookies, cake or cupcakes.
