I use this to drizzle on cookies but you can make it thick to put on cakes and cupcakes as well. In fact I actually thin it out to do the drizzling.

Add to Grocery List

  • 2 c
    confectioners' sugar, sift before measuring
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp
    butter, softened
  • 1/2 tsp
    vanilla extract or almond extract
  • 1/4 tsp
  • 3-4 Tbsp
    milk (or more if thinning to drizzle icing)

How to Make Best Ever White Icing-Annette's


  1. Combine all icing ingredients in small mixing bowl.
  2. Stir until smooth and well blended.
  3. Adjust for spreading consistency if necessary, adding more milk or more confectioners' sugar.
  4. Spread icing or drizzle on warm cookies, cake or cupcakes.
