A terrific all-purpose dough that can be turned into a variety of cookies; rolled, dropped, and shaped.

Ingredients

  • 3 1/3 cups all purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, at room temp.
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup dark brown sugar (packed)
  • 2 - eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

How To Make basic cookie dough

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 350. Sift flour, baking powder, and salt in a bowl. Combine butter, sugar, and brown sugar in seperate bowl, and beat with a mixer until well combines. Beat in eggs and vanilla.
  • Step 2
    Gradually add flour mixture and beat until evenly blended. Dough can be wrapped in plastic wrap and refrigerated up to 3 days.
