Have I told you how much I love banana bread? Well, ALOT. These are another cookie swap cookie from last year. They have banana, oatmeal, chocolate chips and walnuts. The flavors are a great blend. Everyone raved about them. If you like banana bread you will love these cookies.

Ingredients

  • 1 c
    mashed ripe banana (about 2 small bananas)
  • 1/2 c
    packed brown sugar
  • 1/4 c
    softened butter
  • 1/4 c
    sugar
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • 1 large
    egg
  • 1 1/4 c
    all-purpose flour
  • 2 c
    quick oats
  • 1 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 1/2 c
    mini semi sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/4 c
    chopped walnuts

How to Make Banana with Friends Cookies

Step-by-Step

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Combine the 1st 5 ingredients in a large bowl; Mix on medium speed until smmoth. Add egg; mix well.
  2. In a medium bowl add flour, oats, baking soda and salt, stirring with a whisk. Add dry ingredients to the banana mixture. Beat at medium speed until well blended. Stir in chocolate chips and walnuts.
  3. Drop batter by heaping tablespoons 2" apart onto baking sheets coated with cooking spray. Bake for about 12 minutes until golden. Cool on pan for a few minutes, then remove and cool on completely on wire racks.
