banana oatmeal cookies
This is a recipe that's been around for a while. I have altered things over the years but it is still the best tasting cookie recipe that I own. One of the things I did was add chocolate chips to the recipe...Gotta have a little chocolate, huh Makes about four dozen cookies....

Ingredients
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup butter or margarine, softened
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 cups all purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon cloves
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 3 - ripe bananas, mashed
- 2 cups rolled oats
- 1 cup chocolate chips

Step 1Preheat oven to 375 degrees: Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Stir in eggs and vanilla. set aside. In the meantime, sift together, flour, soda, cloves and cinnamon. Stir into the creamed mixture. Add the bananas, oats, and chocolate chips and mix until well blended. Drop dough by rounded teaspoon onto ungreased cookie sheets, one inch apart. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes. Cool on baking racks. Drizzle the tops with melted chips if you like
