banana, oatmeal, caramel cookies

I found a new product last week, At least it was new to me. In the produce section by the apples were caramel bits. (little round pieces of caramel that is suppose to melt fast to make caramel apples. Well we don't usually eat caramel apples so I used them in cookies. Ingredients

  • 1 stick butter (1/4 pound or 1/2 cup)
  • 2/3 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 - banana, mashed
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon freshly grated nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 cup quick oatmeal
  • 1 - 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 3 tablespoons milk
  • 1 cup caramel bits

How To Make banana, oatmeal, caramel cookies

  • Step 1
    with a beater cream together egg, butter, sugars, banana, vanilla, salt, baking soda, milk and spices. Beat 2 minutes.
  • Step 2
    add flour and oatmeal, mix together with spoon. until well blended. Fold in the caramel rounds.
  • Step 3
    Drop by spoon fulls onto a bakers secret cookie sheet and bake 12 minutes. Cool slightly and remove from pan. Caramel will be hot so if you eat right away be careful.
  • Step 4
    Erics movie time treat. 6 of the above cookies caramel sauce chocolate sauce Yesterday he took the six last cookies and put three in the bottom of a cerial bowl. over that he poured som caramel sauce. Then he put the last three cookies over that and poured chocolate sauce over that. I didn't even get a bite
