This is my Mother Gerry's recipe from when I was a kid! Always great to use up those ripe nana's with!

Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 c
    sugar
  • 2/3 c
    shortening
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • 2
    eggs
  • 2 1/4 c
    all purpose flour
  • 1 c
    bananas mashed ( 2 or 3)
  • 2 tsp
    baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 1/4 c
    sugar
  • 1/2 tsp
    cinnamon ( i sometimes add more)

How to Make Banana Drop Cookies

Step-by-Step

  1. Mix first 4 Ingredients and then add the Mashed Banana's mix well. Measure out your flour and I add to that my baking powder,soda and salt. Add this to your mixture of wet ingredients.
  2. Mix together the 1/4 Cup of Sugar and the 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon.This is your topping
  3. Drop Mixture by teaspoon full onto a non greased cookie sheet. Then top with the sugar cinnamon mixture. Bake in a preheated 375 degree oven til set and lightly browned around edges.
