I make these cookies at Christmas time. They are usually gone before I can plate them. Chocolate and banana make a great combination. I found this recipe at cookierecipes.blogspot.com. I hope you enjoy them as much as we do!

Ingredients
- 2 1/2 cups all purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons baking powder
- 1 tablespoon salt
- 2/3 cup butter, melted
- 1/2 cup brown sugar, lightly packed
- 2 - bananas
- 2 - eggs
- 2 tablespoons vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups choc chips
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)
How To Make banana chocolate chip softies

Step 1Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease cookie sheets or use parchment paper. Sift together the flour, baking powder and salt. Set aside.

Step 2In a medium bowl, cream together the butter and brown sugar. Beat in the banana and egg, then stir in the vanilla.

Step 3Gradually stir in the dry ingredients until well blended. Fold in the chocolate chips and nuts (optional). Drop by rounded spoonfuls onto the prepared cookie sheet.

Step 4Bake for 8 to 10 minutes, depending on your oven. Allow cookies to cool on baking sheet for 5 minuntes before removing to wire rack. Let them cool completely.
