Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter, unsalted at room temp
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 - egg at room temp
- 1 cup mashed bananas (about 2 1/2 large)
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 2 cups flour
- - pinch of salt
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1 cup chocolate chips
How To Make banana chocolate chip cookies

Step 1Preheat oven to 350. In bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add egg and continue to beat until well incorporated.

Step 2In a bowl mix bananas and baking soda. Let sit 2 minutes. The baking soda will react with the acid in the bananas which will give the cookies their lift and rise.

Step 3Mix the banana mixture into the butter mixture. Mix together the flour, salt and spices and sift into butter and banana mixture until just combined.

Step 4Fold in chocolate chips and drop dollops on baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake 11-13 minutes or until nicely golden brown. Let cool on wire rack.
