These are the best banana bars I have ever tasted. Be sure to put the honey in the frosting as I believe it is what makes these bars so decadent!!!

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup margarine
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 2 - eggs
  • 3/4 cup buttermilk
  • 2 - 3 - ripe bananas
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

How To Make banana bars

  • Step 1
    Mix all ingredients together and pour into jelly roll pan sprayed with Pam. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 - 35 minutes.
  • Step 2
    Honey Frosting: 1/2 c. margarine, softened 1/4 c. honey Beat until light and fluffy Blend: 3 c. powdered sugar and 2 egg whites Beat 10 minutes at high speed. Spread on cooled bars. Can keep in refrigerator or freezer for several weeks. ENJOY!
