Aunt Elaines Italian Anise cookies
If you don't care for anise flavoring they can be made with any other flavor you choose.
- 1/4 lb
- 3/4 c
- 1 c
- ricotta cheese
- 1 tsp
- anise flavor
- 2 c
- 1/2 tsp
- baking soda
- less than 1/2 teaspoon salt
GLAZE: CONFECTIONERS SUGAR, ANISE FLAVORING AND MILK
How to Make Aunt Elaines Italian Anise cookies
- 1Cream margarine, sugar, egg and ricotta. Add anise and mix well. Gradually add dry ingredients. Mix well. Refrigerate until easy to handle and roll into balls.
- 2Roll into balls and bake on cookie sheet for 15 minutes at 350 degrees.
- 3Allow to cool. Add glaze and sprinkles. Or tint glaze with food color and put on cookies
