Ingredients
- 1 stick butter
- 3 ounces cream cheese
- 2 1/2 tablespoons milk or light cream
- 1/3 cup apricot preserves
- 1/2 cup lt. brown sugar
- 1 1/4 cups flour
- 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 cup walnut or pecan chopped
- 1 teaspoon apricot flavoring
- FROSTING
- 1/3 cup apricot preserves
- 1 1/2 cups confectioners' sugar
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1/8 teaspoon apricot flavoring

Step 1Oven 350 grease baking sheets or line w/parchment paper. blend butter, cheese, and milk. Add brown sugar mixing till smooth, and stir in the preserves. Combine the dry ingredients and stir into the creamed mixture. Drop by 2 Tbs full, 2" apart. Bake 10-14 minutes watch closely after 10 min baking.

Step 2Frosting Combine sugar, preserves, butter, and flavoring. Optional: Top cookies with nutmeat lightly crushed, broken, or whole.
