Got this recipe from my sister. They are quite different and very easy to prepare. The topping is so good and rather crunchy.

Ingredients

Add to Grocery List

1/2 c
butter or margarine softened
1 c
brown sugar
2 large
eggs
1 c
applesauce
1 c
raisins

SIFT DRY INGREDIENTS TOGETHER.

2 c
flour
1 tsp
baking soda
1/2 tsp
salt
1 tsp
cinnamon

TOPPING INGREDIENTS

1 pkg
butterscotch chips
3/4 c
chopped nuts
1/3 c
sugar

How to Make Applesauce Bars

Step-by-Step

  • 1Cream sugar and butter or margarine. Add applesauce. Mix to combine.
  • 2Add raisins and dry ingredients. Mix until well blended.
  • 3Pur into a well greased 11x15 inch pan.
  • 4Sprinkle topping ingredients on top of batter beginning with butterscotch chips and ending with sugar. Do not stir.
  • 5Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes. Do not overbake. Cool and cut into bars.
