This is my great grandmothers recipe and it seems to be a favorite of almost anyone who tastes them. I love dunking in espresso coffee...lol.

Ingredients

  • 2 - eggs
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup oil
  • 1 tablespoon anise flavor or more if you like
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 2 cups flour

How To Make anise biscotti

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 350. Blend eggs, sugar, oil, anise flavor and Baking Powder.
  • Step 2
    Add flour 1/2 cup at a time.
  • Step 3
    Dough will be very sticky, wet hands with warm water and shape into a log and place on greased cookie sheet. bake 25-30 minutes, you want to see a slight tan to the edge of log.
  • Step 4
    Remove from oven and cool about 5 minutes. With a serrated knife cut on a diagonal, and place back on cookie sheet, bake 15-20 minutes turning once. Cool on rack.
