Ingredients

  • 1 package 16 oz angel food cake
  • 1/2 cup cold water
  • 1 teaspoon almond extract
  • 1 package 14oz sweetened flaked coconut divided
  • 1/2 cup slivered almonds coarsley chopped

How To Make angelic macaroons

  • Step 1
    preheat oven 325 . line cookie sheets w/ parchment paper . Beat cake mix , water and almond extract, in lg bowl w/ electric mixer @ med speed til well blended . add 1/2 of cocnut . beat til blended . add remaining coconut and almonds , drop by tblspfuls about 2 in apart onto cookie sheet .
  • Step 2
    bake 22-25 min or til golden brown , cool 3 min on cookie sheets . then remove to racks .
