alzena’s oatmeal cookies
This delicious cookie recipe came from my Grandmother's recipe box. I entered these cookies into the first annual cookie swap contest with my friends in 2004. Everyone still remembers these cookies as one of their favorites. So GOOD!

Ingredients
- 3/4 cup butter
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 - egg, beaten
- 1/4 cup molasses
- 1 1/2 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon ginger
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 cup quick oats
- 2/3 cup raisins
How To Make alzena’s oatmeal cookies

Step 1CREAM TOGETHER 3/4 c butter 1 c sugar 1 egg, beaten 1/4 c molasses

Step 2SIFT TOGETHER 1 1/2 c flour 1 tsp baking soda 1/4 tsp salt 1 tsp ginger 1 tsp cinnamon

Step 3COMBINE THE WET AND DRY MIXTURES TOGETHER THEN ADD: 1 c quick oats 2/3 c raisins

Step 4Drop by tablespoon on greased cookie sheet. Flatten with a wet fork.

Step 5Bake at 325 for 10-12 minutes or until edges are firm. Let cool for 5 minutes before moving to a cooling rack. Makes about 2 dozen cookies.
