1/2 c
butter or margarine, softened
1/3 c
1/3 c
brown sugar, firmly packed
1 Tbsp
dark rum or water
1 tsp
vanilla extract
1/2 tsp
baking soda
1/8 tsp
1 1/4 c
all purpose flour
1/2 c
semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 c
vanilla or white chocolate chips
1/2 c
coconut, flaked
1/2 c
coarsely chopped macadamia nuts
flaked coconut

How to Make Aloha Chippers


  • 1Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
    Line cookie sheets with parchment paper or leave ungreased.
  • 2Cream butter, sugars, egg, rum, vanilla, baking soda and salt in large bowl until light and fluffy.
  • 3Blend in flour until dough is smooth and stiff.
  • 4Stir in semisweet and white chocolate chips, 1/2 the coconut and macadamia nuts.
  • 5Drop dough by teaspoonfuls 2 inches apart onto cookie sheets. Sprinkle tops with additional coconut.
  • 6Bake 8-10 minutes or until firm in center. Do not overbake. Remove to wire racks to cool.
