Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter or margarine, softened
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 1/3 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
- 1 - egg
- 1 tablespoon dark rum or water
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/4 cups all purpose flour
- 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup vanilla or white chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup coconut, flaked
- 1/2 cup coarsely chopped macadamia nuts
- - flaked coconut
How To Make aloha chippers

Step 1Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Line cookie sheets with parchment paper or leave ungreased.

Step 2Cream butter, sugars, egg, rum, vanilla, baking soda and salt in large bowl until light and fluffy.

Step 3Blend in flour until dough is smooth and stiff.

Step 4Stir in semisweet and white chocolate chips, 1/2 the coconut and macadamia nuts.

Step 5Drop dough by teaspoonfuls 2 inches apart onto cookie sheets. Sprinkle tops with additional coconut.

Step 6Bake 8-10 minutes or until firm in center. Do not overbake. Remove to wire racks to cool.
